Correspondence Courses

Subject:
Story Graphics

The actual size of the course book is 11" x 17"
and contains 48 pages.

Story-Graphics
Every cartoon or comic book story starts with a text. A collection of connected written words. It's the catoonists' job to convert the written words into a graphic form. The cartoonist uses pictures as a writer uses words, but ours is a universal language.

In order to convey a story graphically, a cartoonist must acquire a sense of pacing and a smooth flow of graphics. The cartoonist must give the impression of movement with still pictures. The cartoonists' core job is story telling and communication of subject matter, be it humor, adventure, mystery or drama.

The course involves basic instruction on story-telling by means of pictures. It deals with design, page layout, character development, dramatics, humor, and much, much more. It's your opportunity to learn the most important factor in the making of a cartoonist.
