Nice first assignment, Jesse. Keep working on proportions, both facial and figure. Your proportions are a bit distorted.

NOTES:

-Eyes are too large
-Shape of head
-Shoulders too broad
-Arms too long
-Head too big for body
-Hat on head
-More chin
-Ear is misplaced
-Block out figure (as shown) before you put clothes on it.
-Legs too short.
-Shape of head
-Heads too large
-Shoulders and arms too large
-Legs too short
* Jesse- every cartoonist uses photographic references for details of things. Like old western towns-horses-saloons-guns-etc. Don't try to make 'em up or draw from memory. It never works well
· Show bar in background
· Card shark gambler should be smaller
· He should be bigger
· Hero pointing gun at gambler
· Show gambler
-Jesse- telling a story in pictures is what a cartoonist does. It takes thought, concentration and time. Don't rush it. Keep at it-you're doing good.
