Since graduating from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, Inc., Tom has handled art chores for a number of high profile titles and characters. His work was notable for story telling and beautiful ink rendering on Grimjack and The Spectre, as well as on a story done for The New Adventures of the Spirit. Currently, he is responsible for the high artistic quality of DC's Martian Manhunter.

Between all his commitments with the top comic book publishing companies, Tom found the time to work on the Correspondence Course on Horror, for which Joe was very appreciative.

Tom's wife, Jan Duursema, is also a graduate of Joe's school. In fact, they're both currently working for Marvel and DC, while rearing their two gorgeous children.
